So, folks, it’s off to Peaks-Kenny, but before we get there, let’s take a look at the nearby Sebec Beach area!

There is a small fee to gain entrance to the park: these are the current fees

Bring your camping gear and stay awhile!

Hey, everyone! I'm getting hungry! There were MANY picnic tables and most of them had a grill!. There's nothin' like food that's been cooked outside!

So let’s open the picnic basket and see what’s inside! And omg I’m thirsty! (This is a family park, remember)!!

Another picnic table and grill! And the view, well, you just had to be there to see it!
Super easy to walk around in the wooded picnic area.
Isn't this the coolest idea! You can have a family reunion right here at the park (there is an outdoor grill (not pictured here) This area has a separate entrance just before the main parking area. AND for convenience, you're very private OUT-HOUSE! (see below)
The Cove Trail was somewhat steep, but a very short trail. There were blue paint splotches on trees to mark the trail. Just no real chance of getting lost 'cause the trail runs close to the lake. Good for a young family (8-10 year olds would love the trail)

Hiking trails at Peaks-Kenny

I walked the Loop Trail: this was a shorter walk than the Cove Trail.
Kids will love the fun of being in the woods: and for older folks (if ya like picking your way through the woods, this is for you)!
Well folks, it's back on the beach again. The grassy area at this beach (see below)offers an option for those who do not wish to sit in the sand!
See what I mean! This park is very family oriented! Bring the kids and have a family day at Peaks-Kenny! There were swings for tiny tots too! (not pictured here)
Gettin' a little thirsty, kids?? water is the best and there it is: a water fountain!
Now that you've had lots to drink, you'll probably need to visit this place.

The following pictures were taken at the informational kiosk at the park. Click on this link for more about Packard’s Camps.

So, we’ve had something to eat, hiked the trails, played on the gym set (no swimming yet folks,’cause the water is too cold (it’s only May, ya know). There’s boating, hmmm, well, maybe next time!
