Debe Park Trail Riverwalk

Right away  I could see that Debe Park Trail was not in the  high rent district
and then when I saw a few signs as below…Hmmmmm
Nevertheless, fearless as I am, it’s off to the trail!
The trail is paved which made for easy walk. The Kennebec River can be seen below a STEEP embankment
The trees are clinging to the bank as the river rushes past! Use your imagination: doesn’t look like a river, but it is.
This was a non frills walk for sure: a kind of back into the woods walk with  outdoor gym equipment designed for youth (that wouldn’t be me) and spaced at intervals throughout the trail,  but yes, oh yes, I tried them out!
The seat swings back and forth
For leg and arm movement: as if we didn’t get enough of that walking on the trail.
The seat swings side to side
Didn’t have the courage to try this one cause the bank and river close; if I had lost balance, I would have been lost in the river! lol
Oh, and ya’ll can have a picnic here too!
Definitely not a busy season: (wonder if many people even come here).
The most dramatic scenic feature of this walkway is the roaring Kennebec River which calms down at one end of the trail.
And, as you can see, there are benches so that you take in the view and enjoy the quiet. Trust me. It’s quite, if that’s what ya like.  I am so fickle. When I’m in the city, I wish that I lived in the city; when I’m in the country, I wish I lived in the country . But, when I get home, I am quite happy. There’s no place like home, there’s no place like home (remember Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz) Betcha ya do!
That ‘s it for the trail: Happy hiking! lol
